Donald Trump, who at 78 years, is on course to become the oldest president in American history, will undergo an annual physical examination in the coming weeks, a recent White House statement said.
“President Donald J. Trump will complete his routine annual physical exam next month at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center,” said the announcement, dated March 1, 2025.
“The date of his physical exam will be released publicly in the next few weeks,” said the statement, signed by his physician, Sean Barbabella, a career military doctor who served in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Donald Trump, the 45th and 47th president of the United States, was the oldest president at his second inauguration in the country’s history.
Should he serve to the end of his second presidency on January 20th, 2029, he will become the oldest person ever to hold the office at 82 years, seven months, and six days old – sparking renewed discussion of his fitness as a president.
But Trump has appeared vigorous for his age. Nonetheless, earlier physical examinations have raised questions about the specifics of his health data and about the transparency of results.
