How to give feedback to doctors and nurses

ALL feedback is useful, whether it’s good, bad or indifferent.

Feedback helps us health professionals improve our care. Remember that doctors and nurses are thick-skinned, and are used to straight talking. In fact, we prefer it. So be as direct as you like, while keeping things polite.

It’s also important to remember that we can’t know what needs to be fixed unless you tell us. You can do this through any channel, but a considered email or letter is often the most effective method.

For positive feedback or a thank you, a card is always appreciated!
