No, but yes. You are not meant to. You are meant to have an appointment. But ..

The big BUT. It can be a good tactic if you either think:

  1. Your problem is in their area (or similar), and/or
  2. You cannot get in to see your GP.

So its good to keep a record of which days and where their clinics are. You are very unlikely to be turned away especially if you are politely assertive [“hint!”  MyHSN Ed].
