If you are worried about your weight – that you carry too much or struggle to put weight on – then speak to your GP practice.  Many practices have lifestyle coaches based at the surgery who can help with your weight.

Sometimes it may be appropriate to see a dietitian. You can do this via your GP, practice nurse or hospital consultant.

Dietitians often specialise in different areas, such as bariatric surgery (to be considered for gastric banding), or diabetes (which is often a factor in obesity).
