Want to stop smoking in pregnancy?
You will be asked frequently throughout your pregnancy if we can help you to stop smoking. Quitting means that you are more likely to have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby.
If you’d like to try, or would like more information, just let your midwife know. These services can also help:
- NHS-funded stop smoking services are available to you at any time in your pregnancy, and can help support you to reduce and stop smoking. Services include one-to-one appointments, group sessions and drop-ins
- You can call the NHS Smokefree helpline on 0300 123 1044 from 9am to 8pm Monday to Friday, and 11am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday
- If you require extra help, you can also speak to a GP, midwife or pharmacist for advice and support about finding ways to help reduce cravings.
